FAQ's

If you have suffered a serious injury and it was the fault of someone else, don’t be put off by uncertainty – read our frequently asked questions and you should feel more confident about gaining the compensation you deserve.

I don’t have the money to pay a solicitor, can I still make a claim?

Fortunately, there is a system in the UK called no win no fee, which means that you can find a solicitor who will work on your case without claiming any fees or costs from you if the case is lost. This means that, even if you don’t have savings or the necessary income to pay solicitor’s fees, this does not have to get in the way of you claiming what you are entitled to in compensation. If the case is one, you will usually keep 100% of the compensation and the expenses will come from the other side.

How much compensation will I get?

Compensation amounts vary hugely, depending on the type and severity of your injury. However, if you speak to your solicitor about this they should be able to give you an idea of what sort of amount you can expect if your case is successful.

I have a serious injury to recover from, will making a claim cause me added stress?

Personal injury claims do not have to be stressful, as your solicitor is employed to deal with the complex legal and paperwork required on your behalf. Compensation claims can take a long time, but during the process you can get on with your life and recovery as you would without having made the claim. The only difference will be that you will have the prospect of gaining proper compensation which could transform your life.

My serious injury occurred while I was on holiday abroad, can I still claim?

You can still claim but there are slightly different rules, so you should call us to advise you. For example, there will not always be the whole three years in which you can initiate your claim, as there is in the UK, so you need to find out which rules apply according to where you were when the injury occurred.

I have suffered a serious injury due to someone’s negligence, what should I do?
